Signwriting Specimens

from Michael Twyman’s MATD series ‘Typographic Delights’ — these are mostly 19th century French lettering manuals.

These are amazing, so decorative. Found them in this flickr set, from the Type department of Reading University. Which is world renowned for its typography courses.
